A Vrede en Lust Spring Wedding has all the perfect romance required for the wedding of two life long friends, turned lovers. Their story is so unique and romantic, I had to ask Michaela to tell it in her own words.“Warren and I met when we were seven years old. He was ‘dragged’ along to the ballet “The Nutcracker’, in which his younger sister and I were performing. It was school boy crush at first sight.
At sixteen years old, we both left South Africa alone. I went to a ballet school in Hong Kong and Warren to a boarding school in England. Being able to share our adventures and mutual homesickness through MSN chat, over those years, strengthened our bond.
Seven years later, I moved to England for work where Warren had just finished university. Being face to face with each other after all those years really brought to light the feelings we had for each other and this is where the love began.
With Warren being a pilot and myself a ballet dancer, it took five years of long distance dating before we ever got to share the same city. Once I decided to stop performing professionally, I could then join Warren in our first life adventure to Phnom Penh, Cambodia after which we moved to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and are now settled in Dubai. We have lived our own separate lives and fulfilled our dreams, whilst still loving each other. Now, we’re married and share a home where every moment together is appreciated.”
