Vietnam – A magnificent country full of history, lush landscapes, bustling loud Cities and the friendliest hard working people I have ever met. We spent a whole month traveling Vietnam from top to bottom and yet I feel that we have not even scratched the surface.
Its hard not to see the scars still left over from a war less then two generations ago, but this does not seem to stop the Vietnamese and their positive outlook towards tourists and their pride for their home.
One of our first stops as we played tourist was to Monkey Island, these little critters are not shy around humans and wont mind jumping on your back to see if you have some food they could sneak. Apparently they are attracted to bright colours and I almost had my swimming costume stolen right off my back a few times, cringe.
The temples and pagodas all carry a huge sense of energy and emotion, I entered many of these with a fresh layer of goosebumps, it is just amazing and awe inspiring. I can confidently say that anyone who visits South East Asia will comment on the variety of smells in the cities, some totally tantalizing and some gag worthy but all in all this all adds to the magic and thrill. I will let my photos tell you more from here, as I now feel I am at a loss of words to describe our experience anymore.
